Tradition of the Allgäu
Basis of our menu
Work was hard in the rural landscape. The family, farmhands and maids sat together at the lunch table and everyone had to be fed. Most Allgäu specialties are therefore made from flour, milk, eggs and cheese, but there were no limits to the imagination in their use.
Today
Even in our modern kitchen, these ingredients are still used to make tasty side dishes and dishes such as Knöpfle, Maultaschen, Krautkrapfen or Brätstrudel and, above all, the famous Allgäu cheese spaetzle with three types of cheese, with melted or fried onions and green salad with vinegar and oil.
The other dishes on the menu are also prepared traditionally: Only with fresh products from the region. We buy from farms that work organically, the fish comes directly from the Lake Constance region and the local ponds and game and mushrooms from the surrounding forests.
Summer & Beer Garden
Our beer garden is particularly beautiful in summer. Enjoy the shade of the 150-year-old chestnut trees, which were traditionally planted in Bavaria to cool the beer. Have a hearty “hoigata” with your table neighbors or relax quietly while observing. In the beer garden, everyone can be who they want to be…
Good to know: Although our inn is closed on Tuesdays, our beer garden is open on Tuesday evenings when the weather is fine (self-service).
